The ECR-6000/6100 is a compact, modular rotating electrode device for flexible electrochemical research. Its lightweight rotating unit and common controller are physically separated and ordered separately, allowing the system to be configured around the application. The ECR-6100 adds freely adjustable axis positioning for inclined measurements, bubble release and catalyst spin coating. A low-maintenance brushless motor, continuous rotation monitoring and an insulated shaft-to-motor coupling support safe, low-noise operation. Rotating disk electrodes (RDE), rotating ring-disk electrodes (RRDE) and rotating electrode sample holders can be combined with a range of application-specific cells.

System Control & Protection
- Inert-Gas Shaft Purge: A dedicated inert-gas path supports atmosphere control inside the cell and helps protect the motor and bearings from organic-solvent and acid vapours.
- Flexible Rotation Control: Speed and start/stop operation can be controlled from the front panel, a PC via USB, RS-232C commands or analogue voltage input/output, enabling integration with compatible external systems.
Flexible Positioning & Spin-Coating Operation
The ECR-6000 is designed for standard vertical rotating-electrode measurements, while the ECR-6100 adds a freely adjustable rotating axis. An inclined position helps release bubbles during measurement, while the 180° position supports catalyst dispersion and spin-coating applications.
- Inclined Measurement: The rotating axis can be tilted to help release bubbles around the electrode.
- Spin-Coating Configuration: The rotating unit can be inverted for catalyst application and dispersion. The anti-splash cover should be installed during spin-coating operation.
Controller and Rotating Unit Connection
The ECR-6000 or ECR-6100 rotating unit connects to the common ECR-6000/6100 Controller through the inter-device cable. The controller supplies power and rotation-control signals to the connected rotating unit, allowing the two components to be positioned separately within the experimental setup.
